Thank your representative for standing up for the Blueprint

In an effort to undermine the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint, Representatives Bob Goodlatte (VA) and Glenn Thompson (PA) introduced an amendment to the Interior and Environment Appropriations bill that would prohibit the EPA from taking action against states that fail to meet their pollution-reduction goals.

Though this amendment passed the U.S. House of Representatives, a bipartisan group of representatives from states across the Chesapeake Bay watershed stood up in support of a federal-state collaboration that is working and voted against this destructive amendment. We’re going to continue to fight to maintain the Blueprint’s ability to hold states accountable for pollution, and we’re grateful to have this Bay delegation behind us.

Thank your representative for voting against the amendment and demonstrating that they recognize the great benefit of the Blueprint to the Bay and all of those who call the watershed home.
